Dear Mark and Cody,

I love my new shoes!!! My 'hearts-on-a-string' arrived last Saturday and I was thrilled when I opened them. I immediately put them on and sang the new shoes song which I learned in kindergarten in 1946! Believe me, it was an event when a child in the projects got a new pair of shoes. The whole class would make a circle and the person with the new shoes would walk inside.

With my new shoes on my feet.
Happy on my way I go.
Not too fast and not too s-l-o-w."

I have had so much fun wearing them. My children and grandchildren think they're the best.
